'Fly to Fiji' promotion - Terms

  1. Entry into this promotion indicates an acceptance of these terms and conditions. Entries not completed in accordance with these terms and conditions are ineligible.

  2. The promotional period is from 9.00am on 20 February 2010 until 5.00pm on 24 May 2010 (inclusive). 

  3. No responsibility will be taken for lost, late or misdirected entries.

  4. There are three prize packages to be won.

  5. For each approved and drawn down car loan over $5,000 financed through MARAC Finance Limited and its divisions Suzuki Finance, Nissan Finance and AA Car Loans (MARAC) during the promotional period, one entry will go into the draw unless specified otherwise by MARAC.

  6. The entry will be eligible to go into the draw for one of the three prizes.

  7. Each prize package has a value limit of $2,000 including GST.

  8. Each prize package, subject to availability and the value limit, includes:

    • return economy class airfares direct to Nadi, Fiji from either Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch airports;

    • 4 nights accommodation in Denarau (twin share);

    • hotel transfers to and from Denarau to Nadi airport;

    • airline taxes and surcharges;

    • New Zealand departure tax,

      for a total of two people. Both people must travel at the same time and on the same itinerary.

  9. Prize packages are at all times subject to change at the discretion of MARAC.

  10. All components of the prize packages must be taken together or otherwise are deemed to be forfeited. Travel is subject to booking availability and black out periods may apply.

  11. The prize packages do not include travel insurance or any costs for additional activities available in Fiji (not mentioned above).  All other ancillary costs and expenses are the responsibility of the travellers.  Travel insurance is recommended. 

  12. Travellers must ensure by the date of travel they hold a valid passport.  Documentation such as passports and visas are the sole responsibility of the travellers. 

  13. Further details of each prize package will be confirmed once each winner has been contacted.

  14. Travel for all three prize packages must be taken before 31 December 2010 and within the time frame which MARAC notifies the prize winners of following confirmation of the prize packages.

  15. MARAC will draw the prize winners before 5.00pm on 28 May 2010.

  16. Where any prize winner drawn is found to have their eligible loan in arrears, that draw will be discarded and a new draw will be made. This term is applicable to all three prizes.

  17. Each prize winner will be telephoned as soon as possible following the draw.  If any prize winner cannot be contacted within 5 working days of the date of the relevant draw, a redraw will take place and a new prize winner will be telephoned.

  18. Limit of one prize per customer.

  19. Limit of one prize per loan.

  20. Any decision by MARAC in relation to the promotion is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  21. The prize packages are only exchangeable for $2,000 travel vouchers at the election of MARAC.  They are not transferable and not redeemable for cash.

  22. MARAC reserves the right to refuse any customer who is deemed by MARAC to be unfit to receive a prize package.

  23. MARAC and Pyne Gould Corporation Limited group employees [and immediate families of such employees] are not eligible to take any part in the promotion. 

  24. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency, disaster or any other circumstance beyond the control of MARAC, MARAC reserves the right to either provide an alternative travel destination to the same value limit or, subject to any applicable laws or written directions made under applicable legislation, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.

  25. Only New Zealand residents will be eligible to take part in the promotion.

  26. MARAC reserves the right to alter the above terms and conditions from time to time by posting the amended terms and conditions on this web page.

  27. MARAC will not be liable to any person in any way in relation to this promotion or the prize package (including but not limited to personal injury) except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

  28. MARAC will not be held accountable for any situations or costs and expenses arising from accident, theft, illness, and natural disaster or similar occurring during or relating to the travel.  The prize winners take the prizes entirely at his/her own risk and indemnify MARAC and any of its affiliated or associated companies in respect of any claim for any accident injury, property damage or loss of life that may occur in connection with the prize.

  29. Prize winners are advised that tax implications may arise from their prize winnings.

  30. All entries become the property of MARAC.

  31. Where the prize is to be supplied by an entity outside MARAC’s control and that entity fails, for whatever reason, to supply the prize, MARAC has no responsibility for the provision of the prize and is not obliged to provide an alternative prize or to take legal action to require the prize supplier to provide the prize.

  32. The winner's name and photo may be used for publicity purposes and by accepting the prize the winner must make themselves available for this purpose.
